  • 2015 Named Ambassador for the Canadian Down Syndrome Society Conference in Edmonton
  • 2015 Inducted in the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame
  • 2015 Marlin Styner Award – a lifetime achievement award from the International Day Persons with Disabilities(IDPD) conference

  • There is a Joey’s Home Trust Golf Tournament done by Daytona Homes. Residential living for those with Downs.
  • 1986 Joey and Wayne Gretzky teamed up to do a commercial for The Canadian Association for the Mentally Retarded –
  • October 1, 1999 Joey unveils the Wayne Gretzky’s retirement banner.

  • November 20, 2018 special Olympics name a floor hockey tournament after Joey,” Joey Moss Invitational Floor hockey Tournament. The CFL unveiled a special Diversity of Strength T-shirt honoring Joey at the Eskimos August 18th home game vs. the Montreal Alouettes.  As part of the celebration, we would in the game’s ceremonial coin toss.
